Description: Korean Sun pear is an ornamental tree native to Korea. Its has a medium growth rate and a rounded canopy. White flowers bloom in the spring. They produce few fruits that are not edible. Foliage is glossy green, and simple. The foliage turns an orange-red in the autumn that changes about 2-3 weeks before other pears, giving your landscape fall interest. This is a very cold hardy tree, tolerating temperatures down to -20° to -30° F. Plant Korean Sun pear under power lines, along buildings or driveways, or as a speciman tree.
