The UFOR Lab is located in 130 Green Hall on the University of Minnesota's St Paul Campus. Our lab is a space where undergraduate and graduate research assistants, researchers and faculty regularly gather to develop active learning classes and projects, process samples for teaching tree anatomy and physiology, analyze research data and create reports, write and produce training manuals for urban forestry volunteer groups, develop fact sheets, and brainstorm new research and outreach ideas.
The UFOR Lab a welcome center where we host visiting prospective students in forestry and urban forestry, MN Certified Tree Inspectors, Tree Care Advisors, and guest researchers to our Department of Forest Resources. Sometimes, it’s a place where city foresters, commercial arborists and volunteers just stop by to share ideas or borrow materials.
