Description:
Canada yew is found in cool and wet environments that have old-growth conditions. It needs a shady microclimate. Canada yew is extremely intolerant of browsing from deer and moose. English yew (T. baccata) and Japanese yew (T. cuspidata) are both less cold hardy than Canada yew. Varieties of Canada yew can be sold for horticultural use.
