Description:
The leaves of Regent Saskatoon serviceberry are green, oval, and finely serrated at the margins. Autumn colors are ranges of yellow. Small white flowers bloom in early spring, around April. They give way to delicious blue-purple berries for you and wildlife to eat! You can harvest serviceberries and use them in pies, jams, and jellies.
Regent Saskatoon is a compact multistemmed shrub or small tree. It can grow in a wide range of soil conditions in full sun to part shade. Root suckers are common and can be pruned off. Problems with this shrub include powdery mildew, rust spots, and fire blight. Occasional pests include sawflies, scales, borers, and leaf miners.
