Common Characteristics:

Branches and twigs are twisted and spiraled and grow almost parallel to the trunk before curving out horizontally. Young branches are olive green and mature into a gray-brown color. Leaves are very narrow with fine serrations. The bark contains lenticels that are diamond shaped and mature into shallow fissures. Prefer full sun.
