Join us for a full day of pruning training, theory, and practice. We’ll discuss small, medium, and large tree pruning methods with a focus on developmental and structural pruning used to reduce long-term stem and limb failure. Temporary and permanent supplemental support systems will also be discussed. We’ll also be following up on trees we have pruned in past workshops to see how they have responded and discuss future maintenance strategy.

If weather and time permits, participants will be allowed to practice at-height work techniques, including ladder and rope and saddle systems. Little to no climbing or pruning experience is needed to participate at this workshop, but more advanced techniques will be discussed for those with more experience.

Please bring your favorite pruning and climbing gear with you to the workshop. There will be some equipment available for those wanting to try rope and saddle climbing who do not have their own gear.  All participant life support gear will be subject to inspection before use at the workshop.

**Please do not bring pole tools, we'll provide any pole tools necessary for this workshop.**
