Description: D. rivularis is native North America; it is not invasive like some honeysuckles. Foliage is burgundy-green, becoming more intense shades in the fall. In the summer, yellow trumpet-shaped flowers repeatedly bloom and attract pollinators. It is a shade tolerant shrub, but will also preform well in sun. This shrub is tolerant of drought and salt, and is deer resistant. It is best to prune during the spring.
